Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our fast-paced kitchen team at one of our Cambridge locations.

You will have prior experience in a busy kitchen, be comfortable handling fresh seasonal ingredients, and enjoy working as part of a team to deliver high-quality meals across a 7-day operation with 5 shifts over 7 days. English communication should be clear, and a willingness to support chefs with prep and hygiene standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.
• Comfort with fresh seasonal ingredients.
• Clear spoken English.
• Willing to support chefs with prep and hygiene tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team, providing food and a great service.
• Produce food from fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following brand standards.
• Ensure food hygiene and health & safety policies are followed.
• Assist chefs with food preparation as needed.
• Support wastage control and quality standards.
