Job summary

Thomas Franks is a founder led, fresh food catering business in Cambridge, seeking a Kitchen Assistant for our team. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen using fresh seasonal ingredients, support chefs with prep, and maintain high food hygiene standards in a 7-day operation.

You will be part of a collaborative team, have a genuine interest in food, and contribute to delivering great service with attention to detail and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.
• Experience with fresh seasonal ingredients and bespoke menus.
• Willing to help Chefs with food prep.

Responsibilities

• To work well in a team, providing food and a great service.
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following brand standards.
• Ensuring food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Following Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Be a great team player.
• Assist Chefs with food prep.
