Job summary

River Court Care Home in Watford, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.

The role involves food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, stock management and deliveries, working with the Chef and team to keep operations running smoothly. This position offers 28.5 hours per week on days, with DBS paid, uniform provided, and benefits including pension, life assurance, and employee wellbeing programs.

River Court Care Home is a 120 bed care home located in a peaceful residential area of Watford, Hertfordshire. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, comfortable communal areas, landscaped gardens and accessible bedrooms. With a strong family atmosphere, colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy an active and fulfilling daily life.

• £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 28.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.
You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.
This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
