Job summary

River Court Care Home in Watford is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to help residents with daily living, dignity and wellbeing. Training and ongoing development are provided, with support from a welcoming team.

You will help with personal care, mobility and nutrition, following care plans to deliver safe and person-centred support. This role welcomes both new carers and experienced ones.

About River Court Care Home River Court Care Home is a 120 bed care home located in a peaceful residential area of Watford, Hertfordshire. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care, the home offers a welcoming environment with bright living spaces, comfortable communal areas, landscaped gardens and accessible bedrooms. With a strong family atmosphere, colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care and support Residents to enjoy an active and fulfilling daily life.

Care Assistant Contract

  • £13.45 to £13.95 per hour
  • Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
  • Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
