Job summary

The Amwell Care Home in Melton Mowbray seeks a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. You will support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen, helping with food preparation, stock and deliveries.

Working 30 hours per week on a part-time contract, you’ll collaborate with the Chef and our team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and to a high standard, with DBS, pension and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Our private, luxury care home is in the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray. We offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 88-residents.

• £13.00 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
