Job summary

The Amwell Care Home, part of CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Melton Mowbray to support high quality meal delivery in a clean, safe kitchen. A consistent routine and opportunities to develop experience are offered within a supportive team.

You will assist with food preparation, keep areas clean, help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation, and collaborate with the Chef to run the kitchen smoothly.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Job description

Our private, luxury care home is in the beautiful market town of Melton Mowbray. We offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 88-residents.

• £13.00 per hour
• Contracted to 30 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
