Job summary

Crosslaw House Care Home in Lanark, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will help with food preparation, stock organisation, and deliveries, working with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

This hands-on role offers a consistent routine and an opportunity to develop your experience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, our beautiful care home provides Nursing & Dementia care for 45-residents.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
