Job summary

Birdston Care Home, located in Kirkintilloch, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high-quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, stock organisation and deliveries while working with the Chef and team to ensure smooth operation.

Birdston Care Home, located in Kirkintilloch, just 15 minutes from Glasgow, is a modern, fully refurbished care home with over 20 years of experience. We deliver high-quality, person-centred care for frail-elderly residents, including specialist dementia and respite care. • £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
