Job summary

Birdston Care Home in Kirkintilloch, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high-quality meals in a clean, well organised kitchen. 35 hours per week, £12.71 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, and uniform provided.

You will help with food preparation, stock, deliveries, and work closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running safely and efficiently. Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential; a positive, reliable attitude is key.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
