Job summary

Birdston Care Home, located in Kirkintilloch, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high-quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, stock organisation and deliveries while working with the Chef and team to ensure smooth operation.

The role offers a stable routine in a well-organised kitchen, with opportunities to build experience and develop skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely.
• Enjoy a consistent routine and develop your experience in a supportive kitchen setting.
