Job summary

GSL Education Leicester is recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support children in Years 1 and 2 in Leicester primary schools. This role offers immediate or September starts and can be full-time or part-time, with long-term temporary contracts.

You will work alongside experienced teachers to deliver engaging activities, support early literacy and numeracy, and help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours, contributing to safeguarding and inclusive

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or educational setting.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 1 pupils is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, positive and nurturing approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay: £92.59 £99.84 per day (depending on experience, includes rolled up holiday pay)

About the Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in Years 1 and 2. You will help deliver engaging learning activities, support literacy and numeracy development, and provide targeted assistance to children who require additional support.
