Job summary

GSL Education - Leicester is seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND (ASC, ADHD, SEMH) in a Leicester primary setting. You will work with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and nurture each learner’s progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND including ASC, ADHD and SEMH in a classroom context.
• Ability to apply a range of behavior management techniques to nurture learners one-on-one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a valid right to work.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to complete one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to assigned pupil, encouraging participation and engagement in lessons.
• Assist pupils to meet learning goals and reach their full potential.
• Develop a close rapport with students to support social and emotional development.
• Support safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practices across sessions.
