Full-Time Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant Position - Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2)

Overview

Location: Northampton (NN2)

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Northampton. This full-time role is focused on Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting children at a vital stage in their early learning journey.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons that support the learning and development of KS1 pupils.
  • Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Assist in tracking and recording pupil progress, supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Help with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and ensuring a safe, stimulating learning space.
  • Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit the needs of young learners.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring every child has equal access to learning opportunities.
