Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is seeking a Lead Fresh Line Leader to head the forming and packing operations on the fresh production line. You will ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently while upholding quality, food safety and operational performance.

This permanent 4 on 4 off shift role requires you to lead and develop your team, optimise line performance and collaborate with site colleagues to deliver excellent results.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in manufacturing.
• Ability to monitor performance data and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Commitment to food safety and GMP standards.
• Experience with KPI tracking and labour planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the fresh production line
• Ensure planned production targets are achieved and escalate issues when required
• Monitor hourly performance data and implement improvement actions where necessary
• Maximise productivity while maintaining quality, cost and efficiency targets
• Coordinate effective communication between production and support departments
• Lead and support shift handovers to ensure operational continuity
• Develop, train and motivate team members to achieve their full potential
• Support attendance management, appraisals and people processes
• Ensure materials and packaging are available ahead of production requirements
• Drive the safe and effective use of labour, equipment and resources
• Support site continuous improvement initiatives and improvement targets
• Maintain GMP, traceability and product integrity standards
• Complete audits, KPI reporting and operational checks as required
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and support incident investigations
• Support recruitment activities and labour planning requirements

Role Overview

As a Fresh Line Leader, you'll play a key role in managing the forming and packing operations on our fresh production line. You'll be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and operational performance.

Working on a permanent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you'll lead and develop your team, optimise line performance and collaborate closely with departments across the site to deliver excellent results.

Key Duties

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the fresh production line
• Ensure planned production targets are achieved and **escalate** issues when required
• Monitor hourly performance data and implement improvement actions where necessary

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in a manufacturing environment at Team Leader level or above
• Confident leading, developing and motivating production teams
• Knowledgeable in food manufacturing operations and production processes
• Able to manage performance and achieve operational targets
• Comfortable making decisions and resolving production challenges
• A strong communicator who can build effective working relationships
• Committed to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and compliance
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience within the food manufacturing sector
• Experience managing KPIs, production performance and labour planning
