Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is recruiting a Key Account Manager for the Stockport (SK5 7NW) area. You will support housebuilder customers, manage estimates, orders and deliveries, and act as the main contact for site teams across the Branch network to ensure timely materials delivery and strong account growth.

You’ll build relationships, identify opportunities, and drive sales across assigned accounts while travelling to customer sites as required and collaborating with procurement, QS and project

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management or customer relationship management, ideally within construction or builders’ merchants.
• Commercial awareness of pricing, margins and customer requirements.
• Driven, self-motivated and proactive, with strong follow-up skills.
• Confident building relationships and winning new business.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, building strong customer relationships.
• Travel to customer sites as required to understand their requirements.
• Identify new opportunities and increase sales across existing accounts.
• Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into sales.
• Build relationships with procurement teams, QS, project managers and site teams.
• Manage orders from quotation to delivery, coordinating with branches, suppliers and logistics.
• Source bespoke products to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor account performance against revenue, margin and growth targets.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and provide high level service.
