Job summary

Atom Bank in Newcastle is seeking a Junior Value Management Analyst to optimise financial performance and turn data into actionable insights for non-finance budget holders across the business.

You’ll evaluate expenditure against budgets, identify trends, design automated workflows, and perform cost reconciliations to maintain a single source of truth, while collaborating with Financial Control, FP&A and Treasury.

Qualifications

• Comfort with complex numeric data, spotting trends and solving problems.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and formulas) and eagerness to optimize workflows.
• Ability to translate financial numbers into clear summaries for different departments.
• Diligent variance tracking, data entry and quality assurance.
• Open-minded with a strong analytical mindset and a willingness to learn finance.

Responsibilities

• Variance analysis and insights for senior stakeholders.
• Create data visualisations and dashboards for non-finance teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and design automated cost-tracking workflows.
• Reconcile costs with forecasts and ledger entries to maintain a single source of truth.
• Collaborate with Financial Control, FP&A, and Treasury teams on projects.
