Job summary

Atom Bank is seeking a Qualified Senior Manager to join the Value Management team for a 12-month fixed-term contract at our Newcastle HQ. You will own staff and non-staff month-end processes, lead the January–March budget cycle, and drive cost modelling and continuous improvement across the bank.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with hands-on operational accounting experience.
• Proven ability in cost modelling, variance analysis, forecasting and business partnering.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to streamline workflows.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff and non-staff month-end accounts, outturns, and journal reviews.
• Lead January-to-March budget cycle and long-term cost planning.
• Design and maintain cost allocation models to support business plan inputs.
• Present cost performance dashboards and MI to ExCo and leadership.
• Embed AI and automation into cost workflows to reduce bottlenecks.
