The Role

• Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of suppliers.
• Support the development and delivery of trading plans and agreed commercial objectives.
• Contribute to negotiations around pricing, promotional activity and trading terms.
• Monitor supplier and product performance, identifying opportunities for growth.
• Work closely with internal teams to coordinate supplier activity and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate records of trading agreements, commercial information and agreed actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and commercial outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

• A minimum of 12 months' experience in a trading, supply chain, buying or procurement role is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build professional relationships.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing negotiation skills.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with figures.
• A proactive approach to resolving queries and following through on actions.
• Experience within FMCG or a related sector would be advantageous.
