Job summary

Senior Bird Bellows is seeking a Junior Tooling Design Engineer to join our Tooling Engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on designing, developing, and improving tooling, jigs, and fixtures used across manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes.

You will work with experienced engineers to learn CAD software, tooling techniques, and aerospace standards. You will gain exposure to new product introductions and process optimisation while developing your technical skills and contributing

Qualifications

• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of tooling, jigs and fixtures within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using CAD software and awareness of health and safety requirements.
• NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or Apprenticeship equivalent in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and continuous improvement of tooling, jigs, fixtures and related equipment.
• Contribute to new product introduction projects and optimisation of processes.
• Gain hands-on tooling design experience while aligning with aerospace manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and other teams to deliver results.
