Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in the United Kingdom seeks a Trainee Engineer to join the engineering team. The role offers a part-time pathway to an Engineering Degree while developing core skills across manufacturing processes, application engineering and systems engineering.

You will tackle daily engineering challenges, grow CAD drafting capabilities and contribute to reliability improvements across tooling and processes, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on approach to solving engineering issues daily.
• Develop designs and CAD drafting abilities.
• Support improvement initiatives to increase reliability of products and manufacturing tooling.
• Assist in evaluating and improving manufacturing processes, tooling, heat treatment, coatings and lubricants.
• Maintain up-to-date technical standards and drawing databases.
• Support broader engineering, manufacturing and site management needs.
