Job summary

CV Technical in Worcester is seeking a Senior Tooling Design Engineer for complex tooling projects in aerospace and industrial sectors. You will lead tooling concepts through detailed design, manufacture, assembly and testing on-site.

The role requires strong 3D CAD, experience with moulds and dies, CNC machining, EDM, toolmaking and assembly, plus a hands-on approach to design and problem-solving, working closely with toolmakers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing moulds, dies or complex production tooling.
• Strong 3D CAD experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, toolmaking and assembly.
• Experience with technical drawings, tolerances and fits.
• A practical, hands-on approach to design and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design complex tooling, dies, moulds and associated components
• Produce 3D models, manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Develop designs with manufacturing, machining and assembly in mind
• Work closely with toolmakers, CNC programmers and production teams
• Support tooling manufacture, trials and problem-solving
• Improve existing tooling designs and contribute to continuous improvement
