Job summary

The Merchant Hotel in Belfast is seeking a Junior Sous Pastry Chef to join our acclaimed pastry team. You will lead the pastry section, contribute to menu development, and help train junior staff in a five-star kitchen.

The role requires a minimum of two years' experience running a pastry section, and solid HACCP knowledge. An NVQ Level 2 in a kitchen/food discipline or working towards it is desirable.

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of two years' experience running a pastry section to a high standard, contributing to menu development and training junior members of staff.
• Good HACCP knowledge.

Desirable Criteria:

• An NVQ Level 2 in a kitchen/food related discipline or working towards it
• At least two years’ experience as a Junior Sous Pastry Chef
