Job summary

Hawksmoor St Pancras is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. You will lead sections, drive standards and help develop junior chefs while growing your own leadership and commercial skills.

You will oversee daily operations, coach the team and maintain top-quality food, safety, and stock control, contributing to menu development and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a strong Senior Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie ready to step up.
• Ability to lead during service and manage sections.
• Passion for high-quality produce and open-fire cooking.
• Comfortable coaching junior chefs and developing others.
• Strong organisation and solutions‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations.
• Lead services and manage sections during busy shifts.
• Coach and develop Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Ensure strong food safety, organisation and stock control.
• Contribute to menu development and operational improvements.
