Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Expo Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help the kitchen deliver great shifts, and take pride in every dish that leaves the pass.

We offer up to £13.30/hr + tips, paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food and drinks from day one, with opportunities to grow within a fast-expanding hospitality group across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (hot and cold prep).
• Reliability: punctual, dependable and proactive.
• Knife skills and high hygiene standards.
• Good allergen knowledge and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen.
• Own your section and manage prep and par levels.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure safety.
• Support wider kitchen team and help develop others.
• Ensure every plate meets dish specs.
