Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for the Velo Lounge kitchen. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help the team deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish that leaves the pass is to spec.

This role offers up to £13.30/hr + tips, paid breaks, staff meals every shift, and 50% off food and drinks from day one. It’s a great step for an experienced Chef de Partie or Senior Chef ready to take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients.
• Ability to demonstrate strong kitchen skills (hot and cold prep, cleaning, knife skills, hygiene).

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section including prep, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen is compliant and safe.
• Support and help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
