Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Vivo Lounge, a local café bar. Up to £13.30/hr + tips, with staff meals, breaks, and 50% off food & drinks from day one. Part-time or flexible hours with evening/weekend work expected.

You’ll assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help the team deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaves the pass to a high standard. The role offers growth within a growing hospitality brand across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients.
• Available for evening and weekend work.
• Willing to grow into a senior kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is ready.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Take ownership of your section, manage prep and hygiene at all times.
• Follow allergen processes and keep the kitchen compliant and safe.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to develop their skills.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is top quality.
