Job summary

Cosy Club St Albans is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join our lively kitchen. You will work with fresh ingredients, manage busy service times, and help maintain high standards across both branded and independent concepts.

You will lead when the Head Chef is away, motivate the team, and ensure smooth communication between FOH and BOH to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking from fresh in high volumes.
• Willingness to lead in Head Chef's absence.
• Experience in branded and independent venues is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and lead a kitchen brigade in Head Chef's absence.
• Communicate effectively with all team members up and down the ladder.
• Prepare dishes from fresh ingredients for high-volume service.

You must have experience in cooking and preparing from fresh in high volumes, and be very organised. Ideally, you will have a mixed branded and independent background. You must be able to motivate and lead a kitchen brigade in the Head Chefs absence.You will be able to communicate with all other team members up and down the ladder and cement a strong FOH & BOH relationship.
