Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Kilmarnock is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial activities on an Energy, Power and Renewables project. You will assist with procurement, cost control and contract interfaces under guidance from senior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying and 2–3 years’ experience in a mechanical or electrical quantity surveying environment.

Responsibilities

• Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the life cycle of the project.
• Interface with Client Commercial/Contract Team.
• Project procurement including sub-contractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and sub-contractors to identify contractually critical items and initiate replies.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Provide project costing, margin and cashflow reports; manage change order procedures and costs with the client.
