Suir Engineering Ltd. in Kilmarnock is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Energy, Power and Renewables projects on site. You will support commercial and contractual activities across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying.
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveyor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical field.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Enjoy working as part of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual requirements through the project life cycle.
• Interface with Client Commercial/Contract Team.
• Oversee project procurement including subcontractors.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis.
• Review correspondence to identify contractually critical items.
• Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors.
• Provide project costing, margin and cashflow reports.
• Manage change order procedures and costs with the client.
