Job summary

Circet Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support major energy infrastructure projects across the UK, including electricity transmission, distribution networks, EV charging, and renewables. The role focuses on commercial management from inception through completion, with a broad project portfolio and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in Energy/Utilities/Infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of contracts and commercial management principles.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT, ICE and bespoke client contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of energy infrastructure projects and frameworks.
• Produce pricing schedules at tender stage.
• Produce accurate cost forecasts, valuations, and financial reports.
• Monitor project performance against budgets and commercial targets.
• Administer contracts, variations, compensation events, and change control processes.
• Prepare and negotiate client applications, claims, and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance.
• Lead commercial discussions with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks across multiple projects.
• Support project delivery teams with commercial advice and guidance.
• Develop and maintain cost control, reporting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance.
