Job summary

Alexander James Recruiting is currently recruiting a Junior Project Manager for a well-established supplier of warehouse and office space solutions. You will develop knowledge of the racking industry while managing smaller projects across the UK, with progression potential within a rapidly growing sector.

The ideal candidate is a recent graduate in construction, PM or engineering, or someone with relevant experience in racking, mezzanines or shopfitting.

Qualifications

• Graduate in construction, project management or engineering related field.
• Experience in racking, mezzanines, partitioning or shopfitting is a plus.
• Full UK driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the racking and storage industry.

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of warehouse and office space solutions looking to on-board a new Junior Project Manager to develop a knowledge and understanding of the industry whilst managing their smaller projects across the UK. With progression potential within a rapidly growing industry, great earning potential and a number of other benefits, this an attractive opportunity for an individual with a desire to get into project management or someone with a background in warehouse racking looking to get into a new line of work.

Responsibilities

• Developing an understanding of the racking and storage industry
• Managing projects to fit customers’ requirements for racking, mezzanine flooring, partitioning and related products
• Creating project plans and designs to fit with the expectations of the company’s clients; liaising with them throughout the duration of the project
• Overseeing cost management and working with the installations team to maximize the efficiency of project completion
• Ordering materials and booking in plant for projects
• Visiting sites to liaise with site managers

Requirements

The company are open on the background of applicants. They would consider individuals who have recently graduated in a construction, project management or engineering related field who are interested in getting into the Warehouse Racking industry. The company would also be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in another role within racking, mezzanines, partitioning or shopfitting. Another option would be a candidate with experience of doing a role using AutoCAD as there will be a requirement to use it in this position. Due to the requirements of the role, you must hold a full UK driver’s license as you will be expected to travel to customers’ sites a few times per week. You must be based within commutable distance of West Yorkshire since you will be required to work from office.

Having built a strong foothold in the UK over a 20 year period, their product range includes mezzanine flooring, pallet racking, partitioning, shelving and other workplace equipment. Their projects cover a variety of sectors and the process has a step by step approach giving their customers a complete solution to cater their needs. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to bring on new Project Managers to work on projects nationally.
