Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems UK is seeking a Junior Project Controller to support Project Managers and Cost Account Managers. You will help create and maintain project plans, monitor costs, resources and risks, and prepare reports for key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management or a related field, strong IT skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Interest in developing a career in project planning, project controls or project management.
• A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Business Management or a related subject.
• Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with good attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of project plans and schedules.
• Help monitor project costs, resources, risks and progress against agreed plans.
• Collect project information and produce accurate reports for Project Managers and other stakeholders.
• Support project reviews, risk meetings and the tracking of actions.
• Highlight potential issues or changes and help the team identify appropriate solutions.
