Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Project Controller to support project managers and cost account managers. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, reporting and risk tracking to help deliver programmes across avionics and defence systems.

You will work across stakeholders, with hybrid working options (office/hybrid) and a salary of 27,990–33,000 plus flexible benefits, with opportunities for development and progression.

Qualifications

• Interest in developing a career in project planning, controls or management.
• A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in PM/Business Management or related field.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office use.
• Strong organisation and time management with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication and collaborative work with stakeholders.
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn and adapt to priorities.
• Experience with MS Project, scheduling or risk reporting is beneficial but not essential.
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of project plans and schedules.
• Help monitor project costs, resources, risks and progress against plans.
• Collect project information and produce accurate reports for managers.
• Support project reviews, risk meetings and action tracking.
• Highlight issues or changes and help the team identify solutions.
