Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent; Newly Qualified status or up to 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Private Client law (wills, probate, estate administration).
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional, empathetic and proactive approach to client matters.

Responsibilities

• Drafting wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
• Advising clients on wills, probate and estate administration matters.
• Assisting with probate applications and administration of estates.

• Supporting Court of Protection matters where required.
• Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and other professional contacts.

About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established law firm in Burton upon Trent that is looking to appoint a Junior Private Client Solicitor to join its Wills and Probate department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or a junior lawyer with experience in Private Client matters who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will work on a varied caseload, assisting clients with wills, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.

The Role

• Drafting wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
• Advising clients on wills, probate and estate administration matters.
• Assisting with probate applications and the administration of estates.
• Advising on trusts and inheritance-related matters.
• Supporting clients with Court of Protection matters where required.
• Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and other professional contacts.
• Managing client matters efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

About You

• A qualification as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent legal professional.
• Newly Qualified status or up to three years' post-qualification experience, although candidates with other relevant experience will also be considered.
• Experience or a genuine interest in Private Client law, particularly wills, probate and estate administration.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A professional, empathetic and proactive approach to client matters.
