Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the Wills & Probate team in Derby, Derbyshire.

The role involves managing a varied private client caseload, providing high quality advice and client care, supervising secretarial staff, ensuring accurate billing and maintaining confidentiality in line with SRA requirements.

Candidates should have 3+ years PQE, be able to work independently, and possess strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE in private client.
• Strong Wills and Probate experience required.
• Ability to manage own caseload and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, LPAs and Trusts.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Supervising and mentoring secretarial and junior fee earning staff.
• Delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Upholding confidentiality and complying with SRA requirements.
• Liaising effectively with colleagues and external organisations.
• Supporting the promotion and business development of the department.

My client is recruiting for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Wills & Probate team in Derby, Derbyshire.

This is an opportunity to manage a varied private client caseload while providing high quality advice and client care. The role would suit a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years' PQE who is confident managing their own caseload and supporting junior colleagues.

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including Wills, Probate, LPAs and Trusts.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Supervising and mentoring secretarial and junior fee earning staff.
• Delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Ensuring accurate billing, time recording and credit control.
• Upholding confidentiality and complying with SRA requirements.
• Liaising effectively with colleagues and external organisations.
• Supporting the promotion and business development of the department.

The Candidate

• Be a qualified Solicitor or fully qualified Legal Executive with proven Wills and Probate experience.
• Have 3+ years' PQE or equivalent experience.
• Possess strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
• Be confident managing your own caseload independently.
• Have experience supervising staff or be ready to take on this responsibility.
• Be proactive, organised and committed to providing a high standard of service.
• Have excellent communication and client care skills.
• Be empathetic, professional and confident in your expertise.
