CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) for a commercial building in the City of London. You will join the on-site team to perform planned and reactive maintenance under guidance from a senior engineer.

The role offers a salary of up to £40,000, overtime opportunities, extensive training, and a path for progression within a building services environment.

Qualifications

• The candidate should understand facilities maintenance and have some experience in building maintenance.
• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates.
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lighting – small installations, fault-finding, lamping, etc.
• Emergency lighting tests and fire alarm tests.
• Plant room maintenance.
• Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit – filter changes and cleaning.
• Control panels and electrical systems maintenance.
• Changing ballasts when required.
• M&E/Fabric maintenance across building services.
• Maintain and update log books.
• Plumbing – unblock toilets and basic fixes.
• Pumps and motors maintenance.

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in London has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer either of an electrical, mechanical, or plumbing background, to be based in a commercial building in the City of London. He or she or they will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. This person will be working closely with a senior member of the team and the team on-site to gain experience and training of building services.

The successful candidate will understand Facilities Maintenance and have some experience in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, overtime, plenty of further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 17:00 pm
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
• Plant room maintenance
• Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Control Panels
• Changing Ballast
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Log books
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors

Requirements

• Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3 or mechanically City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
