Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd are recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to join a facilities team in a commercial building in the City of London. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance under the supervision of senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience in building services.

The ideal candidate has electrical or mechanical qualifications and wants a career in facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical or City & Guilds Level 2 Mechanical qualifications.
• Provide copies of trade certificates.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Good communication skills and client-facing attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lighting: installation, fault-finding, lamp replacement.
• Emergency lighting tests and fire alarm tests.
• Plant room maintenance and AHU/FCU filter changes.
• Control panels and ballast changes.
• Monitor and maintain BMS; update log books.
• Plumbing tasks including unblocking toilets.
• Pumps and motors maintenance.

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in London has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer either of an electrical, mechanical, or plumbing background, to be based in a commercial buildingin the City of London. He or she or they will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. This person will be working closely with a senior member of the team and the team on-site to gain experience and training of building services.

The successful candidate will understand Facilities Maintenance and have some experience in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, overtime, plenty of further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 17:00 pm
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
• Plant room maintenance
• Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Control Panels
• Changing Ballast
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Log books
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors

Requirements

• Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3 or mechanically City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Hard working attitude
