Job summary

Bristow Holland Ltd in Ipswich is seeking a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join its expanding technical team. The role is hands-on and broad, exposing you to cloud infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, security, and wider projects as you grow.

You'll support and maintain Microsoft Azure environments, manage backups and alerts, assist with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, Windows Server, and patch/vulnerability management while developing your skills alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Having a good technical foundation and readiness to progress beyond 2nd line support into a broader infrastructure role.
• Exposure to cloud and on-prem infrastructure is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and maintaining Microsoft Azure environments.
• Monitoring systems, backups and infrastructure alerts.
• Supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows environments.
• Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues.
• Managing user access, MFA and security controls.
• Supporting patching and vulnerability management.
• Setting up and managing laptops, devices and other IT equipment.
• Assisting with cloud migrations and infrastructure projects.
• Maintaining technical documentation and processes.
• Working alongside experienced engineers and gradually taking ownership of more infrastructure.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll get exposure across cloud infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, security and wider infrastructure projects, while working alongside experienced engineers and continuing to develop your technical skills.
