Job summary

National Trust is seeking a proactive Junior IT Engineer to join our End User Computer team at Swindon. You’ll build strong foundations in IT engineering by helping deploy, configure and maintain secure devices for colleagues, while supporting incident resolution and service requests.

This role offers hands-on training, mentoring from experienced engineers, and opportunities to contribute to hardware refreshes, software deployments, and technology rollouts across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT technologies including operating systems and cloud technology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills enabling relationships.
• Understanding in End User Computing, Hosting, Networking or Technical Security.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Help colleagues get the most from their technology by deploying, configuring and maintaining devices.
• Resolve incidents and service requests, support hardware refreshes and software rollouts.
• Monitor device performance, troubleshoot issues and maintain documentation.
• Assist with testing new technologies and knowledge resources.
