Back To Work in North Yorkshire is helping a well-established food and drink manufacturer fill a Junior IT & Networking Technician role. The position focuses on hands-on IT and networking training across production, warehouse and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users across the business, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
• Help diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and basic network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network-connected equipment.
• Assist with user account management, password resets, access permissions, and new-starter setup.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, cloud-based services, and collaboration tools.
• Monitor IT systems and network performance, reporting potential issues to senior IT staff.
• Support the setup and basic troubleshooting of switches, routers, wireless access points, cabling, and network connections.
• Assist with software deployments, updates, patch management, and routine system maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation for IT assets, network equipment, support tickets, and system procedures.
• Support cyber security initiatives and follow company policies for safe and secure use of IT systems.

Role Overview

The Junior IT & Networking Technician will support the company’s day-to-day IT systems and network infrastructure, helping to keep hardware, software, connectivity, and user services operating effectively across production, warehouse, and office environments. Key duties (Training to be provided)
