Barfoots is seeking an enthusiastic IT support assistant to join our friendly IT team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across a busy, multi-site business, working alongside experienced IT professionals to support colleagues and maintain systems.

You will set up devices, diagnose basic issues, log requests, and contribute to IT projects and improvements. GCSEs including IT, a relevant qualification, and a positive attitude are welcomed; training and progression are available.

Formación

• GCSEs including English, Maths and IT.
• IT-related qualification would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-line IT support to colleagues via telephone, remotely and in person.
• Log and manage requests through the IT Helpdesk.
• Keep the Helpdesk and users updated on progress of requests.
• Assist diagnosing hardware, software and general IT issues, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Set up, install and configure laptops, PCs, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Support routine maintenance, software updates and system checks.
• Assist with user account administration, password resets and access permissions.
• Liaise with external IT providers for additional support.
• Maintain accurate records of support activities and time spent.
• Assist with IT training and guidance for colleagues.
• Support wider IT team with system upgrades, projects and improvements.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our friendly IT team at Barfoots.

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy, multi-site business. Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you'll provide day-to-day technical support to colleagues, help maintain our IT systems and equipment, and develop valuable skills across a range of technologies.

Whether you're leaving education, have recently completed an IT qualification or are looking to take your first steps into the industry, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to colleagues via telephone, remotely and in person

Requirements

Required Knowledge/Experience:

What We’re Looking For

We’re more interested in your enthusiasm, attitude and potential than extensive experience.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• GCSEs or equivalent, preferably including English, Maths and IT
• An IT-related qualification (A Level, BTEC, T Level or equivalent) would be an advantage
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and computer hardware
• A genuine interest in IT, technology and troubleshooting
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A logical approach to problem-solving and good attention to detail
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team
