Job summary

Reed Accountancy Practice in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join a friendly, experienced team. You will support bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio, using cloud-based software and maintaining accurate records.

The position offers office-based, full-time employment in a well-established practice. The ideal candidate will have経験 working in an accountancy practice, be keen to develop bookkeeping skills, and possess a solid understanding of VAT and bookkeeping

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience undertaking bookkeeping duties.
• Good knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping principles.
• Experience using Xero, Sage and/or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Processing bookkeeping records for a range of clients.
• Preparing bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
• Assisting with VAT return preparation and submissions.
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts.
• Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries.
• Ensuring accurate and timely record keeping.
