Reed is seeking a Practice Accounts Assistant in Camberley to join a growing accountancy and business advisory firm. The role focuses on statutory/annual accounts preparation and supporting year-end processes within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates will have public practice experience, strong bookkeeping skills, and a proactive attitude. This is a full-time, office-based role offering ongoing development and a diverse client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
• Experience preparing statutory and annual accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and annual accounts from client records.
• Assist with year-end accounting files and supporting schedules.
• Prepare draft business tax computations.
• Reconcile key control accounts and understand accounting treatments (Income, Fixed assets, Payroll, Accruals and prepayments).
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are well documented and liaise with clients on routine queries.
