Reed in Essex is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our accountancy practice. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax, bookkeeping and advisory work.

This full-time permanent role is based in our Essex office. You will build strong client relationships, mentor juniors and drive service excellence while ensuring timely, compliant deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience within an accountancy practice.
• Knowledge of accounts, tax and bookkeeping processes.
• Experience managing client relationships and portfolios.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial mindset and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accountancy clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead client meetings and day-to-day queries.
• Review accounts, tax returns, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Monitor workflow to meet deadlines.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues.
• Review fees and identify opportunities for annual increases.
• Ensure engagement, AML and regulatory compliance.
• Assist onboarding and deliver excellent client experience.
