Job summary

Content Creators in London is seeking a precise Technical Editor to implement instructed changes into aviation manuals, collating content into structured documents and applying the required styles, templates, and standards. You will work with Authors, Lead Authors, and Quality teams to deliver accurate manuals on time.

This role uses MadCap, Adobe Acrobat, JIRA, and MEL Manager for production and workflow tracking, emphasising attention to detail, collaboration, and ability to follow established

Qualifications

• Experience in technical editing, document production, or a comparable detail-intensive documentation role (aviation or regulated environment desirable)
• Proficiency with MadCap, Adobe Acrobat, JIRA, and MEL Manager for manual production and workflow
• Strong attention to detail across content placement, formatting, styles, numbering, references, and structure
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to ask questions, raise issues, and manage workload honestly

Responsibilities

• Implement instructed changes accurately and completely into manuals and related documentation.
• Apply required styles, formatting, templates, numbering, references, and document structure consistently.
• Use production and task-management systems (Word, MadCap, Adobe Acrobat, JIRA, MEL Manager) and convert documents for internal tools.
• Update JIRA task status and progress assigned work through the workflow.
• Check completed work for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Flag unclear instructions or conflicts to the relevant author.
• Estimate work effort and communicate progress and blockers timely.
• Collaborate with the team and support colleagues where appropriate
