Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Develop an effective understanding of the capability, benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfect’s services.
  2. Identify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activities.
  3. Develop new client relationships via cold calling, Internet, and trade shows.
  4. In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop and close sales opportunities.
  5. Promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect’s services.
  6. Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production Management Team.
  7. Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures.
  8. Take an active role in learning about each client’s industry, business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service.
  9. Perform other special projects or duties when required.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Interest in or previous experience in Strategic Business Development and/or Client Services/Account Management.
  2. Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  3. Superior written and spoken communication skills in English.
  4. Good analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets and other necessary calculations.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  6. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
  7. Ability to commute to our London office 5 days per week.
  8. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Previous Account Management experience is beneficial.
