Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Joiner Technician to cover the Lincoln branch and the Midlands. This full-time role focuses on on-site joinery, wood flooring replacement, timber repairs, and preservation works, with a view to delivering high levels of service to customers.

You will need a full UK driving licence, on-site joinery experience, and a preferred NVQ Level 2 in carpentry and joinery.

Qualifications

• Proven on-site joinery experience and ability to perform first and second fix joinery.
• Full UK driving licence with two+ years and up to six penalty points.
• Formal joinery qualification such as carpentry and joinery NVQ Level 2 preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to pass a DBS check if required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first and second fix joinery, replacing decayed joists and flooring.
• Preservation works on site, including stripping/replacing timber floors, door frames, architraves and windows.
• Damp proofing and removal of wall coatings including plaster and woodworm treatments.
• Timber treatments such as woodworm, sprays & fungal decay work.
• Provide high level customer service and advice.
• Adhere to risk assessments and on-site health & safety measures.
• Ensure sites are left clean and tidy.
• Perform other tasks as required by the branch.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for 2+ years with minimal points.
• Be experienced in on-site joinery work.
• Possess NVQ Level 2 in carpentry/joinery (preferred).
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be flexible with working patterns to support business needs.
• DBS check may be required.
