Job summary

Worldpay seeks a Software Engineer - Java to join our WPG team and contribute to the evolution of global commerce. You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based, high-availability payment solutions within a Linux environment.

You will work across the SDLC with colleagues in the UK and US, focusing on code quality, collaboration, and timely releases. Prior fintech experience is highly beneficial.

Qualifications

• Design and develop Java/SQL/PLSQL solutions for an eCommerce payments gateway.
• Experience with large code bases and version control systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux development and production environments.
• Relational databases (Oracle) and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with secure coding and 24/7 mission-critical services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions in Java, SQL, and PLSQL for a payments gateway.
• Manage code quality, Agile practices, and technical debt.
• Collaborate with software and QA engineers through reviews and mentoring.
• Coordinate with UK/US engineers and release teams for deployment.
