Job summary

Resonant Inc. is seeking an SME Infusion Therapy Service Engineer (IV Infusion Therapy) for a 9-12 month fixed-term contract at our Chorley site.

You will serve as the technical expert for IV infusion systems within our In-House Engineering (IHE) function, ensuring reliability, performance and regulatory compliance. The role involves calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, with collaboration across QA, Logistics and Customer Service to support global studies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing IV infusion pumps and medical devices.
• OEM certification(s) relating to infusion pumps or equivalent specialist expertise.
• Experience performing flow rate verification and electrical safety testing in accordance with IEC 60601 and ISO standards.
• Strong understanding of medical device servicing, preventative maintenance, and component-level fault diagnosis.
• Experience working within regulated environments and quality systems, including GCP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 17025 principles.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency in calibration equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Experience maintaining documentation, calibration certificates, and ERP data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the SME for IV infusion pumps and related devices.
• Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Conduct flow rate verification, occlusion pressure testing, alarm validation, and electrical safety testing.
• Provide technical support and resolve complex customer issues.
• Ensure calibration, servicing, and repair comply with SOPs and standards.
• Maintain service records, certificates, and ERP histories.
• Liaise with OEMs to support troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Support inventory management and workshop materials.
• Collaborate with QA, Logistics, Warehouse, and CS teams.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with product lifecycle management and new technologies.
