Job summary

King's Group Academies is seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician (Level 1) to join the central IT Service. This role supports staff and students across Bracknell and our academies, helping maintain devices and classrooms, and ensuring digital systems run smoothly.

You will provide first‑line support, respond to requests, perform basic troubleshooting, install hardware and software, and escalate more complex issues to senior colleagues.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician (Level 1) to join the central King’s Group Academies IT Service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their IT career to develop hands‑on technical skills while supporting staff and students across our academies across Bracknell (predominantly King's Academy Binfield and King's Academy Easthampstead Park but also King's Academy Meadowvale and King's Academy Oakwood) At KGA, our work is guided by our values of Honesty, Faith and Courage, and our IT service plays a vital role in enabling high‑quality education and opportunities for every child.

The role provides first‑line technical support, helping to resolve day‑to‑day IT issues, set up devices and classrooms, and ensure that our digital systems run smoothly. You will respond to support requests, carry out basic troubleshooting, install hardware and software, and **escalate** more complex issues to senior colleagues. You will also support site moves, events and equipment deployment, contributing to a reliable and professional IT service that underpins teaching, learning and academy operations.
